Runyon Violated my Daughte's Right's

Holy Mother Of God!

My Daughter was recentely asked to write a paper about her experience at Runyon Elementary School. She proceded to write about what she felt was a bullying problem and how she knew she should have learned more. Her teacher took it upon herself to keep her from recess, send her to the principles office and write a new more flaterring paper about her school.
    First off who the hell does this teacher think she is! Who does the principle think she is! I want anyone who thinks that my daughter's rights were not violated to tell me. I want everyone who thinks my dauther's rights are violated to let me know. Why does this teacher and principle believe that they have the right to disgrace our veterans? Isn't this what they lay down their lives for? This is her American right to express how she feels through her speech. I am going to keep this short and simple. Please, fight for my daughters freedom of speech. Inform me how I can fight for her rights, help her because her teacher's want to shut her out! This is an outrage! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!

CenturyLinnk, Big Corporations and the Lack of Customer Service

     Here I go once again. I am posting to let everyone out there know how terrible CenturyLink is. I switched from Comcast to CenturyStink to try and save a little money. Shame on me. Shame on them. Since I switched I have had to call CenturyStink at least 4 times (in the last 2 months) to fix my service. I have gotten nothing but condescending attitudes a lack of concern and no respect. The internet speed is unable to support my Netflix account I am passed from person to person and still never see any results to improve my service. I want to make sure that everyone I know does not make the same mistake that I did. I am fed up with the lack of customer service not only with CenturyStink but all corporations who only care about the bottom line. When did customer service become non-existence? Why do we put up with the lack of concern for our needs? Why should we continue to pay for a service that is inferior? Isn't the point of having multiple companies to find the best one for you and your family? These corporations intimidate us into continuing with their service, they threaten us with fees and their attitudes. I am taking a stand. If I can deter just one person from using CenturyStink and putting up with the lack of service from any corporation that cannot insure competitive service I will feel I have made a difference. Do not settle for less people. Make these corporations compete for our business. Power to the People!!!

More on Runyon

   At the end of my last post I stated that I would like to also address the issue of my daughter coming home with false information and  as I sat down to write today I was reminded of how my daughter's teacher also tries to stifle her when she questions something the teacher has said that just doesn't sound correct.
   I teach my daughter to question everything. If something does not sound right I tell her to do her research and challenge your teacher. I instigate much of this. Let me give you an example. My daughter's class was learning anatomy and physiology for one of their subjects. I was excited because this is a subject I know quite a bit about and I really enjoy it (I personally have a background in exercise science, nutrition, I am an EMT, currently working toward a degree in nursing and will probably double major with a degree in biology).  One afternoon after picking the kids up from school my daughter joyfully states she learned what causes heart attacks.
    "What I asked?"
    "Heart attacks are caused by fat around the heart." Where the hell did the teacher get that information? Heart attacks, or a myocardial infarction is caused by a blockage in your coronary arteries, not from fat around the heart. I was stunned.  Me being the father I am taught my daughter all about the heart about the coronary arteries and how the heart muscle dies when it cannot get the blood supply it needs. I told her to go back to her teacher and actually teach her teacher.  Of course this doesn't ever go over well when I have her do this but I want my child to think for herself, challenge what she is told and what she reads and to think for herself. Every time she does this her teacher dismisses it, brushes my child aside and doesn't check the facts for herself. How can we change the world if we do not challenge what has come before us? What if scientist just take what the scientist before them discovered, we would get nowhere. I want teachers that encourage this, make their students yearn for more have their student discover things for themselves and gosh darnit not to think that they are always right.  Every revolution in human history started with people challenging authority, the French, the Mexican, the Chinese,  hell the American.  Do not dismiss our children, do not brush them aside. Give them a voice. They need to be stimulated intellectually. I will always tell my child to challenge things. Power to the People!

Runyon Elementary and Littleton Public Schools

So before I start my rant today let me give you a little bit of the history of my problem with my son's school and the struggles he has with learning. My son was diagnosed with ADHD and has a difficult time concentrating and sitting still for five minutes even on his medication. As parents we do everything in our power to insure that he succeeds in life. He goes to counseling, takes medication and I help him with his homework every night.  Before we were able to get an official diagnosis he was labeled as a "bad kid". I feel everyone deserves a second chance. I got one myself, but more on that later. My son does not learn in the traditional scene and the teachers at Runyon can not adapt to meet my son's learning style. There is this drive through learning mentality, in which I mean that all they care about are the numbers from the state test instead of making sure that these kid's are learning anything at all. They cater to the children that learn "their way" and leave all others in their wake.  They have crushed his self confidence and he feels attacked by the teachers and administration. He cry's every morning about going to school because the teachers are mean to him. He belittles himself and thinks that he can not do anything right. I will be the first one to admit that it is difficult at times to teach him but does that mean that he does not deserve an education also? He is continually kept from recess and other events even though research shows that children with ADHD need the stimulation from these events. We have sent articles to his teacher showing what these studies have concluded and yet they still keep him from participating in these events. They don't care about my son's education! These teacher's chose to become educators, no one forced them to be teacher's so fricken teach dammit!
    Yesterday I went to the school to watch my daughter in the talent show and my wife and I are waiting for my son to come out of his classroom so he could sit with us and watch his sister. She was amazing by the way. We are waiting and waiting and waiting..... come to find out he was not being allowed to go to the talent show and I was irate to say the least. So me being the father I am go to his classroom to get him so he can support his sister. I was followed by the principle to his classroom. When I entered the cell of a classroom they have I asked my son if he would like to go watch his sister and he told me yes. I turned, glared at his teacher and informed her that I was taking my son with me. As I aggressively spun to walk out of the classroom with my son the principle was standing there as if she was going to stop me. She laughingly tried to intimidate me in keeping my son in her gastopo style classroom. She threatened me by stating that he would receive a zero on the assignment he was being held in solitary confinement for. Listen hear lady, no government official will intimidate me or tell me how to raise my kid! You are not a prison official! You can not and will not threaten me! If he is behind on this assignment contact me, let him bring it home and I will help him at home. There was no communication from the teacher on this particular assignment. I am completely invested in my son's education and if it takes me working with him at home so be it but you will not keep him from going to the talent show. My wife and I have had it with this school and I thank the good Lord that we have found a charter school to send him to next year, in Jefferson county. This is not the end of my rant about Runyon next post I will tell you about the false information my daughter comes home with from her teacher. Until then. Power to the People!!!

I'm here to jump up on my soapbox once again. I have come to a point in which I am just plain pissed off. I have no faith, no trust and believe, NO I KNOW our government needs to be over thrown. We are not free, we are ruled by tyrants. We are no different then slaves. They control what we eat, how we live and what is reported on the news, if you can call it news. Our education system dumbs down our children, ignores kids that do not learn in the "traditional way", ropes them into believing that money is king and to step on anyone to get to the top. The federal reserve and the FUCKING IRS keeps this country broke! Billion dollar company's pay absolutely nothing in taxes yet I owe these fuckers over 2 grand! Piss on the banks that nickle and dime me, if I had my way I'd be trading beaver pelt to the Native Americans. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!! The time is coming! The Revolution will not be televised!
